Previously NFL players would take a knee during the national anthem. Showing a way to protest police brutality and racial inequality in the US. A new rule passed with the NFL stating that all players who are on the field when the national anthem is heard before a game must stand, or they can choose to stay in the locker room without receiving a penalty.

Flag football is a fun and safe sport, for parents that don't want their child to play tackle football. Flag football says that it promotes value and benefits to our society. The NFL supports flag football due to the values and benefits it being to the game and the fans. By playing a non contact sport that encourages mental and physical health. Another was flag football draws a big societal impact, is by communities generating money and awareness for a variety of charity causes by planning these events.

The equality between men and women athletes has severely impacted our society lately. Women athletes feel unrecognized due to there unfair pay and hard work they put into there professional career. I believe professional associations do this because they know men bring in more fam, money and attention than women. But that is unfair to the female athletes when they don't get recognized for there highlights and accomplishments. This has effect our culture historically, by stereotyping women in sports. The belief that women are physically less capable than men has led to discrimination against female athletes.

Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter, and seven other people died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, on January 26, 2020. Kobe was such a huge influencer that extended way farther than the basketball court. He impacted our society by saying such inspirational quotes about life and how important it is to chase your dreams. What Kobe said about our society was how everyone should be treated fairly, and that you don't jump to somebody's defense because they are African American.

The Cleveland Guardians, also know as the Indians, had a name change in 2021. This impacted the baseball community and the city of Cleveland in general. The Indians wanted a name that would honor its community and franchise history. This impacts our culture because the name change reflects a broader movement toward social justice and sensitivity. It acknowledges the pain experienced by Native Americans due to our previous name.

Jackie Robinson was the first Black athlete to participate in the  MLB on April 15, 1947. The majority of Black athletes were limited to different leagues prior to that time. He broke the "color line" in professional baseball when he took the field for the Brooklyn Dodgers in New York City. The phrase describes the legal and societal restrictions that denied Black Americans equal rights in the US. Not only was Robinson making a significant contribution to American history, but also to the history of sports His action had a big impact on baseball and our society. His hard work and relationships showed people motivation and hope from different backgrounds.

One of the worst events in sports history, the "Malice at the Palace" begins with a fight between Indiana Pacers forward Ron Artest and Detroit Pistons power forward Ben Wallace. With this fight it forced the NBA arenas to improve on there security. Due to this fight it made a long lasting mark on the NBA leading to make changes to prevent this in the future.

For a while the public has been saying that college athletes should be getting a huge compensation. I think this is a huge effect on our society because of 2 reasons, race and money. NIL serves only as an argument to athletes leaving to play overseas, particularly if they want to play basketball in college. They still don't receive the compensation they deserve. It still seems to me like a slave mindset.

People that are into boxing and enjoy watching the fighters talk and share there thoughts, know how much there words can impact on our society and culture. Boxing is a discipline-promoting sport that helps people reach goals they never thought were possible, both inside and outside of the ring. It's like physical therapy, where people work on focus, self-assurance, and self-determination, separate from overwhelming issues, and give up violent and risky behaviors.

Walking is such a gentle exercise, that anyone can do it. The message that is being said here is the powerful benefits both mental and walking can do for you. As a society walking has impacting us just by spending time with nature, and letting our ideas flow through our head as we listen to the environment. Walking has proven to show reduced rates of depression and anxiety, which our culture has struggled with for quit some time.
